The Challenge

Thaicom – Thailand’s leading satellite operator – was the first company in the Asia-Pacific region to introduce broadband on commercial flights using Ku-band satellite technology.

To launch its new In-Flight Connectivity Service (IFC) Thaicom asked Proactive PR to organise a Press Conference at CommunicAsia.

Actions Taken

Proactive PR started a campaign of coordinated media outreach – resulting in the best attended press event of the entire CommunicAsia show and hundreds of articles by journalists, bloggers and broadcasters who had attended the conference.

The Results

By orchestrating a partner news announcement during the conference and arranging inclusion in the official event news release – historically distributed on the final day of the show – Proactive PR was able to secure Thaicom international coverage across publications covering a range of industries, including telecoms, satellite and aviation, allowing Thaicom’s key messages to reach an audience of millions.

Proactive PR also produces full newsletter content for Thaicom, as well as brochures, case studies, news releases and thought leadership articles which are placed in top industry publications. On average, a Thaicom release receives 50 pieces of coverage.
