Leading communications consultancy Proactive International PR today announced it has been selected by Total Telecom to provide full PR and video support for Connected Britain – a two-day conference addressing the economics of high-speed connectivity and the related investment and businesses opportunities across the UK.
The event has several keynote speakers confirmed, including Ed Vaizey, Minister of State for Culture Communications and Creative Industries, Mike Galvin, BT’s Managing Director of Strategy Services and Operations, and Matthew Braovac, Vodafone’s Head of Competition and Regulatory Affairs.
“Connected Britain was an outstanding success when it was launched last year and it has already emerged as the leading event in the UK for debating the issues around improving broadband connectivity across the country,” said Total Telecom Managing Director Rob Chambers. “We therefore wanted a consultancy with specialism in events PR and experience in the tech industry – making Proactive PR the ideal choice”
Proactive PR has been appointed as the official PR consultancy for a number of other industry-leading events in the past, including the Broadband World Forum, the Cloud World Forum and the LTE World Series. Today, its line-up of conferences features the European Conference of Optical Communications (ECOC) and CommunicAsia/BroadcastAsia in Singapore.
Connected Britain will be held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in London from Wednesday, June 15 to Thursday, June 16. Topic areas will include the investment avenues for UK service providers, the regulatory scene, the digital economy, smart cities and the impact of new technologies such as 5G.
Proactive PR founder and CEO Brian Dolby added: “This event will bring together the key players in the fierce debate about broadband deployment and all the issues that go with it that we are currently seeing in Britain. With an international client base covering all aspects of broadband, from standards generation to equipment provision and services, the topics it will cover are right up our street and we are really delighted to add Connected Britain to our portfolio.”
